Shopping basket empty when returning from PayPal Express site

This has been answered at this thread http://www.webassist.com/forums/posts.php?id=11526

However...

I have my site set up so all the links do not have the www prefixing the domain but if someone enters the site using the www prefix once they return from PayPal express it empties the cart.

Is there a way to overcome thi? it seems a shortfall to NOT be able to use ether a www prefix or not.

Any help would be appreciated.

John

ANSWERED

I found a fix for this.

create an htaccess file with

RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^domain.com$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://domain.com/$1 [L,R=301]

This removes the www

That does it for me. Obviously change domain.com to your domain name.

To add the www just add www in front of the domain name (in both instances).

Hope this helps others.
