Validation error showing even though email field is valid!

I've got a registration form created by data assist with validation in place. I've had to remove some fields from the form, and in the process of doing so, the form is now throwing an error on the email field which is still in place thus stopping the form submit!

What's gone wrong with what I've done? Basically, the email field is consistently asking 'Please enter a value' on submit when there is one in place and in the correct format.

Ah right, I thought I had uploaded the page since removing that! I have just tried the page on the live server, and it's still not letting me submit the details to the DB. Did you upload the new page?

yes I did and was able to submit successfully, what details are you entering, let me add back the die statement, it should give a comma separated list of values that are failing. report back the number list, and i'll let you know which validations that refers to.

Don't worry, I have rebuilt the page now. I don't know what was wrong at my end, but I just couldn't get the page to submit! May have been stuck sessions or something!
