Run As administrator should give you the appropriate permissions.
I would contact adobe support as it is an issue with the Extension manager permissions, adobe support should be able to help correct the problem.
They didn't think it was their problem, of course. Is there any way I can get Databridge 1.1.0, perhaps it will install. otherwise I will have to go back to 1.0.9
make sure you are saving the extension file to your system, and using the install button in the extension manager to start the install rather than opening the extension file in the browsers or double clicking on the extension to start the install.
When you download the extension you may have the option to open it, do not select that option, select the option to save it.
after the extension is saved, go to the start menu and right click the extension manager short cut, then select run as Admin.
in the extension manager, click the install button and browse to the MXP file you downloaded.
That is exactly what I did.
However, I shutdown my laptop overnight and low and behold, I tried it again this morning and it worked!!
Glad to hear it is working.
