Added Captcha to a File Upload form. Captcha waits until files are uploaded.

A file upload and data insert form was created using Data Assist Pages. Form works fine. Files uploaded. I added a Captcha code and if the captcha code is entered incorrectly, the files appear to be uploading until ultimately, I am assuming, the captcha fails and am redirected back to the empty page. If the Captcha if entered correctly everything works.

How can I get the Captcha to check before waiting for the files to upload?

And then I guess I have to bind the data to the form fields manually to retain the form field data?

Thanks

All form data has be sent to the server, that includes the uploaded files, before the server can process the form and perform the validation.

It is not possible for the server to validate the form until the form data is sent.

one problem i see on your page is that you have 2 instances of the Server validation, one for the rest of the form and another for the captcha.

you remove the second instance, then edit the first instance to add the captcha validation.

Thanks Jason.

How do I bind the forms file uploads to the validated entries, in the event of a captcha error?

You cant set the initial value for file fields, this is not supported by any browser for security purposes.

So if the Captcha validation fails, the user will have to browse and attach each of the files again? But the page will retain each of the values with the form fields?

It will retain the valid values for fields that are not file fields.

Files will need to be reselected
