using bootstrap carousel freezes IE10 when G+ button displayed

Hi all

I'm using bootstrap carousel on a site and everything works fine except for IE10, when the slides weren't 'sliding' and wouldn't go beyond the second slide without clicking on the arrow. However, the carousel worked on a sub-page, using the same css ect.

So, I looked for the differences, and tracked it down to the social media buttons - specifically the google + button; if this is removed, the carousel slides in IE10, put it back in and the previous problems occur.

I'd like to include G+ (especially as it's my preferred network!) if possible. Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi Jason

I clicked the link and the G+ is on that page - under the 'share' link

It's an IE10 issue only - all other browsers OK;

OK, I see the G+ tag, but the Carousel is still working for me, I cant reproduce.

You could force IE 10 to use the IE ( rendering engine as a work around by adding the following tag in the head section:

<meta http-equiv="x-ua-compatible" content="IE=9" >

Hi Jason

The first 2 carousel images display, then the carousel stops; you can click the chevron to get the next image.

However, on the page without the G+ button, the carousel works perfectly - everything else is the same.

Cheers

Try adding the meta tag i suggested from my previous reply:

<meta http-equiv="x-ua-compatible" content="IE=9" >
