Can't install PowerCMS

Can't install PowerCMS

I have created a new site, created a new template, added the framework builder, and have created a new page based on the template/theme. When I go to the content area, and choose Webassist >> CMS >> Add content to PowerCMS, it doesn't take me through the installation wizard, and no admin pages are created. Did I miss a step? I was looking for the tutorial on the web site, but I couldn't find anything. Thanks!

make sure the connections folder does not already contain the following files:
installed_cms.txt
PowerCMSConnection.php

if those files already exist, the CMS Files wont be copied in, and the installation wont happen.

I just started with a new, clean site. We'll see what happens...

Isn't Power CMS supposed to create the connection name for me? I'm being prompted to name my connection right now... Where is the tutorial? I don't want to keep bugging you.

I started with a clean site and it's still not installing PowerCMS for me...??? Neither one of these files exist.

installed_cms.txt
PowerCMSConnection.php

You need to define the connection first, Power CMS Will create a copy of the connection you create when it installs.

Then Create a PHP page, add content to the PHP page, select that content and the go to WebAssist -> CMS -> Add Content to Power CMS.

It sounds to me like the page you have open is not saved as a php page.

I did save it as a PHP page, but there was no connection created at that point. That's what I missed. I created a "dummy" connection, and then it went fine. I'll try to remember that I have to have even a bogus connection created first. Thank you!

Ooops ... all is not well yet. I logged into my admin area, and I have no HTML editor when I click on edit. It displays the content, but as soon as I click edit, I see no content and have no HTML editor. I have not customized this editor in any way, FYI. I have not touched it. Thanks!

I'll need to troubleshoot directly, see the private message section.
