Is there a way of changing the default font size in the text area for CK editor?

Many thanks

No, CKEditor does not have a way to set the default font size, that is done using CSS

Thanks Jason,

What class or css file do I need to edit to change the font size? How can I target the font size for the HTML text editor? I have had a look at the skins/kama/dialog.css and skins/kama/editor.css.

Thanks

HTML Editor Spell Checker

Hi, I also have another issue with the HTML Text editor - I have selected the "Check Spelling as you type:" option. uploaded the webassist/ckeditor folder including the ckeditor.php file.

The spell checker is not working, it does not matter what I am typing in it will not highlight any words.

Also the Check spelling button does not show up on the toolbar. I am using ver 1.1.4 of DataBridge.

What am I missing?

Thanks

I Think i misunderstood your question.

if you edit the HTML Editor preset, and go to the styles page, you can select a style sheet to attach you can also select a class to be applied to the HTML Editor body.

when you make changes to HTML Editor, make sure you clear the browsers cache, CKEditor is largely javascript driven, once complied, the browser caches it, so changes will not be sean unless the cache is cleared and the browser is forced to recompile.

Hi Jason, Thanks that works great.

I would like to dig in a bit deeper... is it possible to change the format of the link dialog box that appears when you insert a hyper link in HTML Editor? The client would like to customise this.

Also the spelling functionality doesn't seem to be working. I have the following issues:
1. The spell checker button does not appear in the tool bar.
2. The Check spelling as you type does not work - I can type any misspelled words and HTML Editor does not highlight them.

Please see attached:

Your help is appreciated. Thanks

CKWEditor does not offer support for customizing the tools, it would require editing the CKEditor source code.

as for the spell checker, see pm

looks lioke there is a bug in the CKEdiot 4.0 version that Data Bridge uses that causes the Spell Checker to fail.

you can update the CKEditor Files manually to a newer version that has this bug fixed.

in the webassist/ folder, rename the ckeditor folder to ckeditor_bak

On this page:
download

click the button to launch CK Builder. Select to use the Full Preset, and the Kama Skin.

Copy the downloaded CKEditor folder to the webassist folder in your site.

from the ckeditor_back folder, copy the following three files:
ckeditor.php
ckeditor-php4.php
ckeditor-php5.php

and paste them in the new ckeditor folder.

you will need to clear the browsers cache to see the updates take effect.

I have logged a bug in our system so the data Bridge CKEditor version should be updated in the next release.

Hi Jason,

Works a treat now. I also had to upload the style_lists folder as I had set some styles for the HTML Editor.

Is there a way of removing the Spell checking ads?

Please see attached

Thanks
