Security Assist and Data Assist have disappeared

hi there

I've installed DataBridge but I seem to have lost the following tools completely:

Progress Bar - I can't add a Progress Bar to an existing form
Client Validations... when I want to just add a client validation to an existing field...

More importantly - I don't have the Security Assist Wizard any more ?... this is the reason I upgraded as I want to create new registration and forgot password pages with all the security functions

Just noticed my Data Assist Wizard has gone too... nowhere to be found !!!

I've complete reinstalled Dreamweaver CS3, and installed Bridge as the last extension

There's nothing in the top menu under WebAssist - see screen grabs

Data Bridge no longer has Client side validation, it uses spry validation that is included with Dreamweaver for Client side validaiton.

for the other issues, i think the configuration folder became corrupted. use step 12 of the adobe troubleshooting guide to recreate the configuration folder:
http://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/troubleshoot-javascript-errors-dreamweaver-cs4.html#main_user_config

then reinstall Data Bridge.

thanks for your help Jason - I'm now getting the following Extension Manager error:

Can't create folder 'Macintosh HD:Users:rob:Library:Application Support:Adobe:Dreamweaver 9:configuration:Behaviors:Actions:WebAssist'.

Should I re-install DW in this case ?

make sure that both the extension manager and DW are closed when you rename the configuration folder.

after renaming the configuration folder, open Dreamweaver, then close it again and start the extension manager.

hi Jason

I've done all this but get exactly the same results... DataAssist Wizard, SecurityAssist Wizard etc nowhere to be seen

anything here that's clashing ? - see screen grab

UPDATE - I've removed ALL my extensions, created a new configuration folder, installed Bridge ONLY... and still the same !

Problem with the installer ?

UPDATE - Just downloaded the installer again - but the same... not working

When you start the extension manager use the menu item in Dreamweaver, Commands -> Manage Extensions, I Have seen an issue before when launching the extension manager in other ways would fail to install the extensions correctly.

Thanks for your help Jason - getting there now

That all seems to be installed, I'm just getting the one error - see screen grab - when trying the Spry Validation

reset the workspace layout:
go to Window -> Work Space layout -> Reset '<your layout name>'

and Delete the Dreamweaver Cache file from the users configuration folder:

I don't have the option : Window -> Work Space layout -> Reset '<your layout name>'

All I have is Window - Workspace - then the default ones

I've deleted the cache file... but still the same error

is this happening on a blank page? or an existing page?

if an existing page, have you tried using a blank page?
