uninstall and reinstall

I see a bunch of updated extensions. I have consistently had problems uninstalling and reinstalling webassist extensions. Right now I have all extensions installed and running well. Any suggestions before I remove and reinstall? I really don't want to spend another 3 hours removing, removing my config file and reinstalling (my last fix).

Regards,

lisa

Updating

Hi,

I didnt have any issues at all with all the updates yesterday.
I just uninstalled the plugins before putting the new ones in.

If you have the new CSS form builder you have to remove the validation toolkit, they don't go together

re-install

OK, I will uninstall my older version plug-ins and install the new ones and hopefully I won't have to clear everything and re-install.

As Russell did, you should always uninstall previous versions of an extension before installing the newest updates.

Yes, I had problems with the uninstall

I removed my css sculptor and reinstalled with very little problems. I tried to remove my css menu writer 2.0.1 and it asked me if I wanted to remove. I said yes, and then nothing. I waited, nothing more happened. I tried again with no success. I shut down extension manager and re-opened, 2.0.1 was still there. I tried to enable it and the checkbox is not "checkable" any more. Just so you know, I did change the cache file name before I tried my uninstall. I see that by doing this I have disabled all extensions. I am guessing that now I have to remove the configuration file, and reload all extensions, again (fourth or fifth time for me). Is it me, Adobe, or your extensions?

Thanks

I closed the extension manager again. I tried to enable menu writer 1.0.1 - error message:

"can't update menus, extension will not be enabled"

I tried to remove the extension again, it is now gone. I will try to install menu writer 1.0.2. I won't reply unless I have a problem.
