Search results load in new page not in plug-in page

Search results load in new page not in plug-in page

I have a page that uses a plugin to display a search form and then results.
However, when searching the results load into a new page, rather than the page containing the plug-in. I'm not sure why this is happening. I know in the past this has been down to validation failing, but it doesn't appear to be the case this time.

I created the search/results page using the Databridge pages wizard.
the page itself can be seen here:

You probably have to change the form action on the search page to post to the parent page and not the plugin page directly.

(note: you may want to consider attending the webinar on the 17th where we will talk about updating pages like this to load the results from a plugin using AJAX so that the full page doesn't have to reload at all)

Did this help? Tips are appreciated...

Thanks Ray, that fixed it. I am seriously considering signing up for the next webinar

Tried this, link to file OK, but no URL variable

Using dynamic plug ins for all pages and set parent up without issue. I was able to change the link OK, but the plug in calls for a URL variable which I have not been able to get to appear in the URL when form is submitted, only the parent page name. Any suggestions to correct this problem? I have thought about creating another page and setting the plug in to appear always for the search results.

Second question:

I saw comment on 17th webinar, I have definately missed that one and won't be able to catch future events for several more months. Is there a transcript or an introduction to "load the results from a plugin using AJAX..."? I have not even looked into yet, but not reloading of a page is a tempting subject.

add the URL variable to action of the form
