Progress Bar Digital File Pro Service not available

Converted UE4 mxp to zxp for DW CC. Got the database error when installing the extension, but like I read in another post that even though this happens sometimes, all the menu items still show up and work Such is the case here. File uploads work Email works. But when I go to add a progress bar I get the error message as shown in the title of this post

So, what' the next move here. I tried to reinstall, but I couldn't uninstall first as it doesn't show up in the extension manager I suppose I could try to convert the mxp file again, try version 3, or maybe try to install DFP seperately?

Should I try istalling using the CS6 ex manager? And finally, how does one go about uninstalling an extension like this that whether or not it works but doesn't show up in the ex manager? Thanks

UE 4 will not be compatible with Dreamweaver CC. You will need to use Data Bridge which contains the functionality of UE 4 and has been updated to be compatible with Dreamweaver CC.

I have gotten the email to work and the file upload - but does that mean I basically just got lucky and it's sort of hit and miss whether it may or may not work? Is it also the reason the extension does not complete the installation?

YEs, UE 4 was not updated for compatibility with DW CC.

It is posible you may be able to get some features to work, but it is not a plat form we have tested UE 4 in, so is not supported.

UE 4 was replaced by Form Builder, which was then incorporated to Data Bridge.

We have updated Data Bridge to be compatible with Dreamweaver CC. Data Bridge is the extension that we offer that is tested against the Dreamweaver CC platform.

Gotcha. It looks like it's time to upgrade to Data Bridge. I've been putting it off for financial reasons, but it's next on the list.

I'm still using Super Suite, which I acquired at a great price when you suspended the subscription program. I just want you to know how much I appreciate that you didn't intentionally make these extensions incompatible with newer versions of Dreamweaver. > many software companies simply make it impossible to install an an older version of something into a newer platform. But that has not been your practice, even though it results in additional work for you answering questions like this and helping me to the best you can to get things working, even though it's not officially supported.

I can only imagine your reaction when you learned that Adobe was moving from MXP to ZXP extensions. Instead of concentrating on your primary mission of creating and improving quality product, now you had to divert resources into developing for this new file type, as well and hoping that the conversion tool that Adobe offered actually worked.

I've searched the web and have yet to learn the Adobe's rationale for this change. As well as making Server Behaviors "deprecated". At least they offered a way to re-install the panel, but as the CC evolves, what then? I've heard that they're intension is to transition Dreamweaver to be more of a design than development tool - but what are the offering in it's place, is it the "Business Catalyst" type sites?

You may consider these rhetorical questions, but I would like to hear what you think about it all -

And as always, thank you again for your excellent support.

We will be creating our own version of the depricated functionality. I can't be sure of their plans, but we will make sure things continue to work for our customers.
