Not receiving email (contact )

I have created a contact form.. but now i m not receiving email.. i not able to understand the problem.

This is a very urgent enquiry as lots of visitors drop email.. I m not receiving email since 10days.. i just crossed check by filling myself. i didnt receive email at al.

Who is your host?

depending on your host you may need to set the SMTP Server address. Or you may need to set the From Address to be included as an extra parameter.

There are a couple of problem I see in your set up:

1) You have entered multiple to addresses and separated them by a coma. to enter multiple to addresses, you should click the To Button to enter the advanced To settings, and add each address individually.

2) on the attachments screen, you have added bindings for each of the form elements. the attachments section is to add file attachments, you should not be using the form bindings here.

I m facing this problem again. all of a sudden my emails are not getting received from http://www.webgen.in

you are using the same address for the from and to address, most hosts will not allow this, the SMTP Server will consider the email spam.

use a unique address for the from and the to settings.

To help troubleshoot, change the redirect page to a PHP page, then you can out put the session:

<?php @session_start(); var_dump($_SESSION); ?>


this session will contain a email status, if this is successful, then the email has been sent to the SMTP Server, you will need to work with the host to determine why the email is not being relayed in this case.

Sorry about that... i understand i can not use same address for from and to

now regarding troubleshoot, which is the redirect page ? if its the [thank you] page then i did that page to php and inserted : <?php @session_start(); var_dump($_SESSION); ?> at top of the page..

even after that i m not getting any emails. and got this error on thank you page->

Alright i made the changes in centre.php the email page. so now i m receiving the emails. but not receiving any contents like name, email n etc.

ok now i recreated the pages. now its working fine.. havent added any extra codes.. just normal.. please cross check and let me know if its fine ..

but i receive emails only sometimes. i dont know what is wrong.

It looks like it is set up correct to me, but that depends entirely on your host.

If the email comes through sometimes but not others, that is something on the SMTP Server, you would need to contact the host to have them look into the SMTP server error logs to determine why the email is not being relayed sometimes.
