authenticate smtp server old ASP version of Universal Email

Hi,

I have an old website that needs to be able to authenticate the SMTP server in order to send the email using Universal Email's ASP script. How can I go about doing this? I have an old copy of the UE extension, and a copy of Dreamweaver CS3 - can I do this through the UE wizard?

To authenticate with the SMTP Server, you need to use one of the email objects that support authentication.

It's been a long while since i looked at UE 3, but I Seem to recall the CDOSYS mail object supports authentication. Of course, you need to also make sure the host supports the mail object you choose.
