change time zone

When Power gallery admin login box displays a gallery an error Function_date distort the display

Warning: date() [function.date]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/Chicago' for 'CDT/-5.0/DST' instead in /var/www/vhosts/4578.sandbox.i3dthemes.net/httpdocs/powergallery/admin_gallery/images/installed.png on line 2

Try adding the following to your page...

<?php
date_default_timezone_set('America/Chicago');
?>

The list of valid timezones is here...

http://www.php.net/manual/en/timezones.php

This is a php server issue.

The host should be able to update the php.ini file for you to set the default timezone to prevent that error from occurring. It happens if the default time zone is not set in the php.ini.

Any ideas where this php code should be interted?

If, as Jason suggested, you can't get you host to update the php ini file, you can add this line of code anywhere on the page before a time/date function is called, try line 1 to be on the safe side
