Blank file manager on remote only

I have taken an old site that had iRite editor on it, and have just updated all insert and update pages that use it to the current version of HTML editor. The site works fine on my local server, but not on my remote server. When I click the browse server button to open file manager on the remote site, the resulting window is blank!

I get no error message, no please wait, nothing!

I'm a bit stuck as to what I can now do. Please advise or help.

Thanks.

a blank page means that a php error is occurring but error reporting is turned off.

to turn error reporting on, add the following code at line 1 of the webassist/kfm/index.php page:

php:
<?php

error_reporting
(E_ALL);
ini_set('display_errors','on');
?>

once we know what the error is, we will be able to troubleshoot the cause.

I've added that error code to the page, but no joy!

You mentioned the KFM editor, but the updated editor shows me the About CKEditor for info when I click the question mark... it does however have reference to both KFM and CKEditor in the title of the browser window. See the private bit below for the title.

Is this all screwed up now because of previous versions of the editor being used? I think this site started with iRite, then went to HTML editor (first version), and now has the current version too!

I'll need to troubleshoot directly, see the private message section.

OK, see below. Can I get rid of the old HTMLEditor folder outside of the webassist folder, or should I leave it?

Many thanks.

The issue is your PHP server version. The php server is running PHP 4.4.9. The file manager requires PHP 5.2 +

Sigh... that means I've got to load iRite and undo all my work then!

To make sure I am installing the correct extension, it was iRite that had a beige interface wasn't it? Did any version of HTML editor prior to Data Bridge have the beige interface?

Thanks for you time Jason.

Most hosts will be able to update the PHP version being used fairly easily.

Using 1 and 1 hosting, it's a matter of editing the .htaccess file.

I would check with the host about this before reverting.

To be honest, I cant remember the interface for iRite, but you could be correct that it was beige
