1024x768 limitations and other issues with file uploads

My client is unable to upload any images in simple jpg format that are re-sized below 1024 at 72 PPI. Get errors about the size, but it doesn't apply to what they are trying to upload. Any thoughts?

What are the specific errors? maybe provide screen shots?

It is most likely that the issue is a server configuration issue, there are a number of php settings that effect the size of file uploads, see this page for details on those settings:
