Small Spaces Between div Tags

I am getting small spaces between my div tags when doing a top, middle and bottom for my content area. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong. I have researched all over the internet and tried a lot of things, but none of them worked.

This is caused by the line-height of the top and bottom divs being larger than the height of the div.

If you set the style of the top and bottom divs like this, you should get the desired results:
<div id="top" style="line-height:5px">
<div id="bottom" style="line-height:5px">

I'm not sure I understand. I do not see any spaces when viewing the code in Dreamweaver's code view.

I am attaching a screen shot of what I see.
