Using as catalog only w/o add to cart

Using as catalog only w/o add to cart

I have a client who is a manufacturer's rep. He wants to feature products online, but does not yet want to enable online ordering. In looking at the demo, I see in the add product panel a checkbox to enable online selling.

Does that imply that products can still be displayed in the catalog, but without add to cart, etc?? If yes, can zero of many products be enabled for online selling? i.e, just use PowerStore as a catalog website with instructions for manual ordering??

The enable online selling checkbox is to put it live to the online store. If you want to put it to the online store without selling it, set the inventory to zero. This will disable the add to cart button for the product. If you want to describe how to order offline, you can add this to the product description.

In addition, you could remove the add to cart button from the code instead of setting the inventory to 0. This will allow you to show the products and not have the cart enabled.
