Pass ID and it´s content to a second page

Hi, (not sure if im getting senile) Im trying to, first create a page, with headline and content. Second pass that ID to next page where i can create a menu tab and link to the newly creatde webpage. Automatic fill the textfield with; index.php?page="here i want the passed ID too go" and then in the next text field i wanna put a button name.

Ive done this Before by sending the session ID, but i cant get it to work, more i try more frustrated i get, so now i need a break. haha Becous i can´t even pass a normal URL variable to page nr 2. I have deleted the 2 pages now, i got it to work, but DA had put 2 insert behaviors so i got 2 posts inserted at the same time... grrrr

Some light here would be awesome, :)

Regards Morgan

In the Data Assist Insert record Behavior, the first page has a setting for Session Variable, make note of the session name being created.

Use that session on the second page, it will contain the ID of the last inserted record.
