Wizard page not loading

I have a early PG1 on a domain. Instead of trying update it, I'm installing a fresh one. After changing the folder to 2013powergallery and uploading to server using Transmit, I entered the path and get a blank page in Safari. Chrome is giving up an error message of

The website encountered an error while retrieving http://*******(domainname).com/2013powergallery/admin_gallery/index.php. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this webpage later.
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.

Since the older gallery is fine, it has me puzzled.

I'll need to troubleshoot directly, see the private message section.

Might have found it

I opened the admin page and the path is wrong

<?php
require_once('../../PowerGallery201-5/rename_and_upload_this_folder/admin_gallery/global.php');

I can start again. I put the above mentioned folder into DW, then moved the "rename and upload" folder into root and renamed it. So the path didn't travel when I moved it. What is the best way to do this?

The global paths had this
@session_start();
require_once('../../PowerGallery201-5/rename_and_upload_this_folder/Connections/powergallery.php');
mysql_select_db($database_powergallery);
require_once('../../PowerGallery201-5/rename_and_upload_this_folder/admin_gallery/common/properties.php');
require_once('../../PowerGallery201-5/rename_and_upload_this_folder/admin_gallery/common/functions.php');

Are you renaming the folder in Dreamweaver or in the OS file manger?

If you use Dreamweaver, it may prompt to "Update Paths", Do not select this option, the paths should not be changed, they should be left as is.

I prefer to use the OS File Manager to rename the gallery folder before uploading,

Ah... I was doing it in DW, thinking it needed to be "updated"... I will pull down the folder, and start fresh. Thanks for taking the time to explain it. Might be good to change the installation instructions to include this detail. I have to do another this week, so thanks twice. :-)
