CSS Options and Templates

Hi everyone,

I have just upgraded my design extender and databridge. I am having an issue just getting a site template and design right, which suitable colours that looks modern and fresh, I would extend the same view to creating forms on databridge.

My primary reason for updating are your enhancements, but other than CMS I can't really see much improvement in the presets.
Working on this late at night it wasn't possible to get the style of home page that I want, the branding, the style and the menu.
If had to describe what I would like to create it would be similar to your home page.
Your presets for site and forms look old and date, very bland and flat.
What can I do without it taking hours upon hours and bear in mind I only have basic knowledge on CSS and PHP

With in CSS Sculptor, you can select one of the Designs as a starting point, then click the edit button to customize the layout.

The Type tab allows you to edit the fonts and colors used

the Box tab allows you to change the designs box model.

the Design Tab allows you to change the backgrounds and borders.

the print tab allows you to set print CS options for the page.

Similarely in Form builder, you can select a starting design, then click the edit button to edit the forms CSS Settings.

Thanks Jason, I will reply back with my progress tonight.

My main issues is that the presets for CSS, Sites, Menu, Forms etc are so far off what I would want to use commercially.
One aspect of building these tools is to get what you want out in 24 hours or less as a basic start to be reasonable.
As you know I have used your tools for years and so far they haven't managed to hit the sweet spot of being accepted in any commercial work we have done. Therefore work done with webassist tools has just not appealed visually regardless of whatever technical issues we have had.

Maybe its because I dont understand your tools well enough versus other tools we use, however I have been doing this for 13 years and am still hopefully of engineering better output from your tools and becoming a better user of them.

Many thanks
Neil

The Presets are starting points for you to customize using the settings that are available in the tools.

If the presets where intended to be used as is, there would end up being tons of sites on the web that look exactly alike.

In reading your post, that is what you are trying to avoid. to avoid that, you need to use the Editing features to edit the preset starting points and come up with your own designs based on them.
