changing labels in sent email

Hi Jason

I cant find where the labels are generated in the email that gets sent on submit as I wanted to change 'Full Name' to just 'Name' and 'Email Address' to just 'Email'

Thanks

Jamie

The Labels in the email are generated based on the form element names

If you name the form element:
Email_Address

the label in the email will be the same minus the underscore.

if you want the label in the email to be just:
Email

name the form element:
Email

if the form has validation, you will need to also edit the validation after changing the element names.

can you have spaces in labels Jason? eg have email address rather than email_address

Spaces are OK, in the label, but in the form element names. for example:
<label for="Email">Email Address:</label>
<input type="text" name="Email" id="email" />

So would I be fit in saying tha the sent email therefore cannot have spaces in the labels?

no, if you use an underscore in the element name, it will be converted to a space in the email

<input type="text" name="Email_Address" id="email" />

will have a label of:
Email Address in the email.
