Anti-Creative-Cloud

It would wonderful of WebAssist products could be a stand alone, not a DW extension. There are a number of other html editors out there but because I love WA products, I haven't pursued them. I absolutely hate the concept of Creative Cloud. So my wish is for DA standalone functionality.

With the advent of CC, Adobe seems to be pulling OUT features I need (server side stuff). They have said their focus is on "client side" and they "may" revisit server support in the future.

So it would be nice if you could find a way to make the plug-ins stand alone somehow, so they could work with editors other than DW. I'm thinking of killing my CC sub and just hanging on to CS 5.5 for now, but someday that's going to stop working.

Any development thoughts on doing all your great extensions outside of DW box? Is the idea of stand-alone viable? I'd pay double if I didn't have to keep using DW once CS6 is dead in the water. I totally refuse to go to CC rent-my-future box.

I sure hope you guys are thinking about this. Fingers crossed.

There doesn't seem to be a way to vote for "all" products, so I place my vote under eCart. But I really would like you to consider making all your products available outside of DreamWeaver. I did end up canceling my CC subscription and bought the stand-alone CS 6 instead. But in a couple of years I suspect things will stop working with the then-current OS. So I am starting to look for alternatives now.

I am in the same boat. I absolutely refuse to rent software. I did find something interesting the other day:

I am hoping that WA will do stand-alones. I love WA but I know I can't stay with DW more than two years, by my best guesstimate.
I hope Ray is thinking about this... *fingers crossed*

I think it would be am amazing move for WebAssist to create a standalone product..Im sure this would also create new customers for WebAssist due to a lot out there that dont use Dreamweaver....I actually dont mind the subscription model that Adobe gives and I am a subscriber...I just dont like how Dreamweaver has transformed..One major feature I really dislike about Dreamweaver is the annoying way they allow users to create/change css ..personally for myself I was coding a lot faster the old way rather than the new way of building CSS.

Please WebAssist give us standalone products :) As Patrice stated...I would also pay double the cost of the extensions if they were standalone!
