Using Upload behaviors on Update pages.

I have several upload file server behaviors on my update page. They upload fine, but when I open the update page again to change another value, the previously stored values in the upload fields are lost. How do I correct this?

Thanks - Joe

P.S. Hi everyone!

Hi Joe,

for each File Field, add a hidden form element.

bind the initial value of the hidden form element to the corresponding file column from the update page recordset.

In the Upload File server behaviors, bind the Default File setting to the hidden form element.

I've added the hidden form fields, but they are not showing up in the Update Record server behavior Bindings tab. I've tried refreshing the Bindings panel, the Database panel, saving the page, closing and re-opening it to no avail. What can I do?

Nevermind - I was looking at the wrong sb.

Spoke too soon. Once I've opened the Upload File server behavior to bind the Default File setting as directed, the Finish button no longer works. I can click cancel, but Finish is not recognized. I've tried restarting DW (I'm using 5.5 for this project) but no love. Should I install Data Bridge in CS6?

UPDATE: Turns out Finish doesn't work regardless of whether I make any changes or not. I'll try installing in CS6.

Try uninstalling Data Bridge from DW CS5.5 and them re installing it.

I went with installing the latest Data Bridge into CS6. I'm getting an error message now:

The following translators were not loaded due to errors:
WA Universal Email.htm: has configuration information that is invalid.
WADA_CFML_RepSel.htm: has configuration information that is invalid.

How do I correct?

reset the wrokspace layout:
go to Window -> Work Space layout -> Reset '<your layout name>'

and Delete the Dreamweaver Cache file from the users configuration folder:

Jason - back to the original question. I created a hidden field and gave it the default value pulled from the existing database column as pulled from the recordset and then set the Default File value in the corresponding File Upload sb, but it's still clearing out the database entry whenever I update anything else in the record. What next?
