eCart Building Donations Page

I need to build a donation form page that allows the user to add a donation dollar amount to a textfield, and then below fill out (on the same page) all the checkout form fields. What would be the best way to accomplish this? I own eCart5 and the client has a PayPal Pro account. The form will be behind an SSL certificate so my server will be secure.

Jason,

I have read this tutorial. However, I need it to all happen on one page (the checkout page). The tutorial requires you to enter a donation amount on one page and then pass that to the checkout page.

Any way to accomplish this all on a checkout page.

No, The add to cart button needs to add the item to the cart before the checkout process can begin.

I have a client that needs it all on one page. Is there another method I should look into that could accomplish this in eCart? They are using PayPal as their processor, and can use PayFlow if needed.

to be able to run the checkout wizard and create the checkout pages, you will first need to have a cart display page.

you could add the Donation amount form element to the checkout page, and add the Add to Cart Server Behavior. On the server behaviors panel click the plus button and select eCart -> Add to Cart -> Add to cart, set the trigger to the checkout button being pressed.

enter the item name and description, for the price, click the lightning bolt icon and select the amount form element.
