Problem starting session

Problem starting session

When the Power Gallery is included in a page which also contains session management, the page doesn't load properly but shows the error message
"session_start(): Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by (output started at /home/.. etc)"

When looking at the powergallery/galleries/global.php file, it seems that the error is caused by the code starting a session without checking if a session is already active.

How can I get around this error without altering the Power Gallery code (which I definitely don't want to do)?

what is the full error?

the key is to look at the file that is named in the Out put already started section.

This is the complete error message.
Line 2 in galleries/global.php contains a session start, but without checking if a session is already active. I assume that this must be the problem.

so the error is reporting that there is output at line 180 of the index.php page that is causing the problem.

send a copy of the index.php page so i can take a look.

the code at line 182:
session_write_close();

is causing the error

change that to:
@session_write_close();

Thanks for your reply.
I've changed the code as suggested, but unfortunately that doesn't affect the problem, the same error message still appears.

I'll need to troubleshoot directly, see the private message section.
