Tax rule not working

Sit has a tax rule for NY State to apply a tax. A Florida purchase came up with the tax applied to it. How do I remedy this?

I see you are using PayPal Standard as the gateway, do you have tax rules set in your paypal account that could be applied?

If you define tax rules in your paypal account, they can get added to the power store charges.

Paypal stopped working with site

I entered the IPN number and the tax rule on the Paypal account. Now when you go to checkout and submit it comes up with an error and says shopping cart empty, log into paypal account. double checked and the right account is entered in the gateway field. help....

This is caused by the product names having quotes:
"TTYL"

you should not include Quotes in the product name, what ends up happening is the paypal sees the product name as empty, since the info is sent in a hidden form element

the value for the product name ends up as:
value=""TTYL""

since TTYL is outside the second quote, the name being passed is blank. product names are required by paypal.
