Help on an multiple update with insert behavior

Hi, I am making a web page where someone registers his music band. for this I made the tables; users, band, many and item. For insert page I have a simple insert for the band table and a multiple insert for the many table the many table will store the values that refer from the item table wich are not required in the form (optional) so the user can insert the six items or just a few. Until then everything works ok, the only thing that I cannot accomplish is to retain the values entered in the form for the multiple insert if the form doesn't pass the server validation.

The other issue comes in the update page. I will like the page to see like the insert page with all the fieds and in the multiple update to show the six items even if some of them haven't been inserted in the insert page so if the user whants to update his info, he can change the one he first inserted and also insert the fields that he didn´t insert at the beggining. The issue is with the multiple update to convert it also in a multiple insert and to show the option to enter the new values and to update the old ones if there is any.
Can I accomplish this with WA extensions and how can I do it?
Thank you for your help.

it sounds like you should be using the manage relational table behavior instead of the multiple update.

Hi Jason, thank you. I'm trying to use that behavior but I don't know how to achieve what I want, the update page keep showing only the values that I have in the database and not all the six options from the items table.

the rsmany recordset is set to filter records based on the UserId session.

to show all of the item in the many table, you should not be filtering the recordset.

Thank you Jason, but since this will be an update page, how can I bind the records that the user inserted previously?

the MRT behaviors should do that automatically.

see the tutorial for using the Manage relational Table behavior:

Hi Jason I followed the tutorial but I can't apply it in my update page, instead of a check box I have a text field and I cannot make my data to display correctly.
