Always, when I'm trying to create DataAssist sites from blank Dreamweaver CS6 crashes!

I try to create DataAssist Pages from blank.
Therefore I created the Database with table - everything is fine until there.
Then I start DataAssist Pages,
change to my table -> works fine,
I try to manage site:
- add a site (f.e. insert_page)
- choose table columns -> works fine the first time
- then change the labels of the form --> crash (pls see screenshot)

Working with
-Windows 8 Laptop
-DW CS6 with deleted configurations folder
so I have fresh installed:
-Databridge 1.1.3
-Design Extender 1.1.1
Regards,
Andrea

What is the table structure you are using?

Can you send a SQL export of the table structure so i can try to recreate the problem. It may a reserved word being used for a column name, or a specific data type being used.

It crashes for me me too, nearly always. Just by moving up a column so it crashes. It has happened on several occasions and different databases. Very annoying.

This seems to happen sometimes on windows laptops. We haven't quite narrowed it down, but it appears to be memory related in some way... it also seems more prevalent in Windows 8. We are looking into the issue and hope we can get it resolved, but it will probably mean a pretty major overhaul of how data is structured to prevent memory issues. Another partial fix we will be implementing soon is to save your settings so that if it does crash you can start over from your previous location without loosing anything.

For our records and to help debug it... is this a mac laptop or desktop? How old is the mac and what OS version? How much RAM?

You might want to try making sure all other programs are closed that might be using memory and then really take your time between steps to allow memory to free back up. This will work sometimes, but this issue seems inconsistent which is why we have had trouble really narrowing it down or fixing it.

But we are aware of it and will be taking steps to get it corrected. Another option that slows things down but has worked for some people is to run the wizard and save a preset after each page is added. That way when it crashes you don't lose as much and can start back over from your last save.

I have a MacBook Pro from 2011, and Mac OSX 10.8.4 with 8 GIG of RAM.

The running program is MAMP and Dreamweaver.

I have a third party application called Memory Clean as system software. With this program I can see how much RAM is used, and this is not much. However, the longer I use the Data Assist, the fans running, and the CPU is used more.

I have to save the preset for every step I make, if I move a column up or down.
