Adding fields to admin insert and update pages

Adding fields to admin insert and update pages

I have added some fields to the PowerStore database and have successfully integrated them into the public pages that people see. However, I want to add them to the insert and update pages in the admin interface.

They way I tried to add them to those forms was to copy an existing field (ProductName) by selecting everything inside of the

tag and pasting that below the ProductName paragraph. Then I replaced all the occurrences of ProductName with the custom field (ProductSubtitle) in the database. Visually it looks fine on the form but it doesn't update or insert the content when I try to modify a record.

Also, if that custom field holds content (from the database import I originally did) it shows up in the form on the update page, but I'm not able to actually make any changes stick.

So I realize this is probably not the preferred method to achieve what I'm trying to accomplish but I thought it would be the most accurate -- taking something that already works and copying and making slight modifications. Should that not work?

I've attached a couple of screen shots to better explain what I'm trying to do.

You would need to use Data Bridge to edit the insert and update record behaviors that are on the insert and update pages in order to binding the new columns to the new form fields.
