Download Centre

Hi,

I have build a Download Center and it was working fine with files around 30 MB. Now a have file which is around 600 MB and when I click on the link to download it is giving me a blank/empty page. Is there a limit on file size? If there is a limit how can I adjust it so a bigger files can be downloaded 1.0-1.5 GB?

Thank you

a blank page means that a php error is occurring but error reporting is turned off.

to turn error reporting on, add the following code at line 1:

php:
<?php

error_reporting
(E_ALL);
ini_set('display_errors','on');
?>

once we know what the error is, we will be able to troubleshoot the cause.

Hi Jasen,

No errors. The page is loading fine. If the file is small (30 MB) it will download fine no problem at all. If I link it to a larger file like this one (600 MB + and it might get even bigger because my client is adding more videos to the package) it starts fine, you can see the browser is trying to connect to the file and after 30-40 sec. it gives me a white/blank page. If the file is small that will be the option to save the file.

Thank you.

I just unpacked the file on my MAC and on a PC (downloaded a few day ago) with no problem at all. I am uploading/overwriting the file on the server. Even if the file is corrupted that should have not stop the download from starting.

the download needs to be able to access the file header to determine the content type before starting the download, since the file is corrupted, it cant access that information.

Could you try with the file I have uploaded? I have tried on my end and it is working fine.

I have compressed the file and I have re-uploaded the file again. Same result. There must be something else.
