Upgrade Data Assist Sites to Data Bridge?

I have a few websites that have administration backends based on the Data Assist plugin(s), is there a way to effectively upgrade these backends to use the Data Bridge extensions without needing to rebuild all of the pages individually, or am I starting from scratch? :)

You don't need to rebuild the pages, but you will need to inspect each of the server behaviors to have the code regenerated for data bridge.

I would make a site backup first,

then open the first page, for examples sake lets say it is an insert page. On the server behaviors panel, double click the Insert Record server behavior then click ok to have the code regenerated.

Re inspecting the server behavior may leave being a reference to the older Data Assist helper pages:
<?php require_once("WA_DataAssist/WA_AppBuilder_PHP.php"); ?>

that you will need to delete manually.

You will need to repeat this for each of the pages.

What about old styles that were used - Is there any way to update these?

I moved the folders with all of the old WA stuff to a different location, as they were actually causing issues with newer pages that I was creating (I guess that they weren't updating some files because the older ones were already there.) As such I moved all of the stylesheets as well, as I guess they have more or less been abandoned (Pacifica, etc.) I wondered if they would convert to something new.

But it looks like I'll have to move the stylesheets back for those. It would be nice if there was a way to update them to the newer styles, or if the legacy styles existed in the newer system so that my backend could all look the same without a giant pile of work. :)

One file not uploading

OK, so I have a rather complex backend update page that has an MRT, six images (with resizing for thumbnails on the update page) of which only three are now required with the new site layout, an HTML editor, server side validation and and who knows what else.

I update the webassist files and the first three image file save locations to a new location, and only two of the three update with new files.. any ideas on that one?

In order to make sure that this is all happening in the correct order I have:

  1. WA helpers, etc loading...
  2. Recordset generation
  3. Server Side Validation
  4. WA Upload params and start for uploads 1 - 6
  5. Upload status struct for uploads 1 - 6
  6. WADA update
  7. WADA MRT
  8. Selection Counter
  9. Pre select MRT
  10. Regular page code

Solved - File size was greater than the server would allow an upload for. ;)
