new version any time soon?

Hey guys

been a while since the last release, any time frame for a new version?
Could realy do with OOP and some ajax functionality, grids, html5, cleaner charts and what ever else that has been around for the last 2-3 years......

I think that hardly WebAssist renew its products soon, because it hasn't developers appropriate to do it (imagine what we would have in terms of development if Adobe not purchased InterAKT, seven years ago).

At least, I hope that WebAssist works on the stability of its products/extensions.
DataBridge is the most unstable extension ever created in the history of dreamweaver (for many jobs, I still use ADDT to avoid the continuous crashes of DataBridge).

We are planning to release updates to eCart next, after that we will probably work on design Extender, then on data Bridge.

we do plan to look into adding more Ajax, grids, and mobile support.

If there are specific features you would like to see, please post to the wishlist forum.

"ajax functionality, grids, html5" are rather vague topics, so it would help to know what specifically from those groups you would like to see implemented.

as for Data Bridge crashing, make sure that you have the latest 1.1.3 version installed.

if it is still crashing, some things to try are:
-Disable the preview
-Close the Files panel and the server behaviors panel before running any wizards.

if you still have a problem start a new thread, and we can look into the problem with you.

To be fair I use WebAssist products (ecart, databridge and design extender) a massive amount on my projects used on Windows 7 and Windows 8 using Dreamweaver CS5 and latest CS6 Cloud version and the extensions never seem to crash on me. I issues with forms but that's to do with Adobe updating their Cloud versions...but thanks to the WebAssist forum that issue is simply fixed :) I should point out though rather then the wizards I always find it more comfortable doing things manually as that allows more control and customisation as well as the benefit of actually learning through trial and error which is something that's a valuable asset since I develop a working knowledge of certain PHP concepts :)

Extensions that help us to build JSON driven html pages to be used in mobile apps - PHP isn't allowed and therefore rejected by Apple. Extensions that would allow us to both retrieve data and insert data in to a database. So, if eCart and DataBridge could allow us to do this, that would be most advantageous as we'd then be able to PhoneGap a mobile site in to an app.

A tool for SASS or LESS CSS would also be good.

I'll repost in the wish list.

By the way, I find the Data Bridge toolset to be invaluable. I have created a fully working forum which is quite a complex task, and I couldn't have done it as quickly, if at all without them. Yes, there are issues, but they are invariably sorted by WA support, and I don't think ADDT is as elaborate in capability as the WA tools.

Completely agree. I have built my own cms sites because of DB.

As Jason said:

Close everything you don't need running. Only have one page open in DW, ie, the index page of the folder where you need to do DA. Close all other items on DW. Take your time! Don't rush. Pause. Pause. If you let each step have a bit more time, you'll reach the end of the process.

As I've been enlightened by WA, DW has a limited amount of memory and DB needs room to work. You can't increase DW memory, so you need to strip down using its resources.
