Missing "Comments" Validation in Contact Form

Hi:

After deleting the Answer Captcha in a couple of email forms, the validation widget for the Comments field no longer works. This means users can forget to enter a message in the emails they send and WA won't warn then about it.

Any suggestions on how to reactivate (or reinsert) that validation?

Attached please find a copy of the form in question. You can also watch the form live at www.dennfree.salaroche.com > contact.

open the server behaviors panel, and double click the server validation server behavior to edit it.

select the required validation type, for the server variable, click the lightning bolt icon and select the comments field. now click the plus button to add it to the list.

Jason:

I've tried following your instructions and everything seems to go well, but when I test the form on the browser the Comments field still doesn't have the validaion widget. I can also see that there's no "serverInvalidState" line of code for the Comments field.

Suggestions?

Do you want spry validation? or server validation?

to add spry validation, select the text area, then go to Insert -> Spry -> Spry Text Area, that will convert the comments field to a spry comments field.

in the property inspector, you can set the validation to occur on blur and to be required.

Jason:

The Spry validation does just fine.
