Problems with a download center

One of my customers have problems with a download center that I have created. The download seems to work well for most of the files. The problem occurs randomly, and consists in the file download does not start for random files. There is nothing wrong with the files that have been reported. The files are saved in the correct directory with file names similar to the one stored in the database and the files are not corrupted.

There is not a php error occurring and it's not an ivissible session. I have tested it by adding the following code at line 1:

<?php
@session_start();
error_reporting(E_ALL);
ini_set('display_errors','on');
?>

I have checked my php.ini file. Memory_limit is set to 256M and Max_execution_time is set to 60. Those settings should be more than enough, but I have added the following code at line 1 to be sure:

<?php set_time_limit(0); ?>
<?php ini_set('memory_limit', '512M'); ?>

My client is a commercial printer so the files are large, but it does not seem to be any correlation between file size and error situation.

I'm attaching my download file.

You can see an example on live URL here: nedlastinger.php?Kunde=37
In this case, you can't start a download for file number 3. The first two works perfect.

I'm really confused here.

Rune

the file doesnt exist on the server.

In the download behavior, yo uhave set the Folder to:
Upload/

and the file name is coming from the hiddenField form element.

for the third button, the value of the hidden file is "VA_K4_13_Bannerplakat_CC Vest_800x650.pdf":

<input name="hiddenField" type="hidden" id="hiddenField" value="VA_K4_13_Bannerplakat_CC Vest_800x650.pdf">

so it is looking for the following file:

http://www.xide.no/Upload/VA_K4_13_Bannerplakat_CC%20Vest_800x650.pdf

this URL goes to a 404 error page. The file does not exist so cannot be downloaded.

Yes, I can see it's a mismatch between the filename stored in the Upload folder and the filename stored in the database. It must be the Upload tool that causing the error.

It's a DMXzone tool, so I must address myself to them.

Thanks for looking into this.

I kneed to create a download center and allow only 1 download per user

How I can do this

there is a tutorial here for creating a download center:
http://www.webassist.com/tutorials/How-to-create-a-download-center

to limit to only one download, you will need to add a download count column to the orderdetails table, set the default value to 0.

In the recordset to populate the download page with download links, add an additional where clause to check that the orderdetails.download count is less than 1.

In the download behavior, you can set it to increment the download count column for each download.

There are things in the tutorial that I dont find in webassit

It says to use the order details table not the application type.

before you get started with the downoad center, you should go the Applying Login/Registration to your checkout page, and Creating an Order History page tutorials.

the order details table is created by the eCart checkout wizard to track the items that a user orders.
