How to add new editable region to already theme based website?

How to add new editable region to already theme based website?

I' m in the process of applying Power CMS to a website. I have converted my template to a theme. Now I realize that I would like to have another editable region in the sidebar of the website for additional text which should be individually editable in every site by the CMS.

I tried to add this editable region to the template - but since the site is themebased - it didn't show up in the individual sites (from which I could add it to Power CMS).

Have I somehow reverse the theme to template again to have new editable regions added to the individual pages or how can this be done?

Thanks in advance for any help on this!

Henrik

you would need to delete the theme from the templates/themes directory, edit the template to add the new editable region, then recreate the theme.

Or manually edit the theme file in the templates/themes directory to add the new editable region
