TIP Date Formatting

Hi I just wanted to share this in case anyone starting out needs a quick reference...with regard to date formatting: (In the database the date will be stored as 2013-03-03) as a DATE or could be stored as DATETIME (but would be stored as 2013-03-03 20:02:39)

(im just using my own database assigned names for reference only)

<?php echo date('l jS M Y',strtotime($row_rsCustomers['UserRegistrationDate'])); ?>

This would output : Sunday 3rd Mar 2013

for reference to what "l jS M Y" means and a list of other alternatives to display the date in different ways check the php manual site:

Chris, I am more than grateful for this. Searched and found it. With it, I could fathom the syntax to format one of my date outputs.

Thanks! David Allen
