Andrew Dodd - ADDIGITAL

Attaching CSS Menu to an existing graphic..

My client has suddenly decided that they want menus and sub-menus to existing navigation, which has been done graphically.

See index.php

Code is as follows:

" <div id="navigation-holder"> <a href="index.php"><img src="/feb2013/assets/slices/home-button-on.png" alt="Button: Home" width="118" height="70" id="homebtn" onmouseover="MM_swapImage('homebtn','','/feb2013/assets/slices/home-button-on.png',1)" onmouseout="MM_swapImgRestore()" /></a>
<a href="products.php">
<img src="/feb2013/assets/slices/products-button.png" alt="Button: Products" width="140" height="70" id="productsbtn" onmouseover="MM_swapImage('productsbtn','','/feb2013/assets/slices/products-button-on.png',1)" onmouseout="MM_swapImgRestore()" /></a> <a href="news.php"><img src="/feb2013/assets/slices/news-button.png" alt="Button: News" width="79" height="70" id="newsbtn" onmouseover="MM_swapImage('newsbtn','','/feb2013/assets/slices/news-button-on.png',1)" onmouseout="MM_swapImgRestore()" /></a>
<a href="customers.php"><img src="/feb2013/assets/slices/our-customers.png" alt="Button: Our Customers" width="216" height="70" id="customersbtn" onmouseover="MM_swapImage('customersbtn','','/feb2013/assets/slices/our-customers-on.png',1)" onmouseout="MM_swapImgRestore()" /></a>
<a href="contactus.php"><img src="/feb2013/assets/slices/contact-button.png" alt="Button: Contact Us" width="136" height="70" id="contactbtn" onmouseover="MM_swapImage('contactbtn','','/feb2013/assets/slices/contact-button-on.png',1)" onmouseout="MM_swapImgRestore()" /></a>"

My question is, can I attach a CSS menu to the graphical Product link?

TIA
Andrew

CSS Menu Writer does not support using different graphics for each menu item. you would need to edit the code for the menu after it is created to use a different image for each menu item.

Hi Jason,

That's not quite what I meant..

I have built the site with one level of navigation using graphics to maintain look and feel. My client has now decided that they need a further level of navigation, so I was wondering if I could attach a CSS menu to the existing navigation, specifically, the existing products button?

Thanks
Andrew

Ahh, i understand now. No, you cannot use CSS Menu Writer to create just the sub menus for an existing menu that was not created with menu writer to begin with.

Thanks Jason!
I thought that might be the case, but it was worth an ask.. Something to maybe consider in a future release?
