Using variables in body of universal email

I have a universal email set up to send before page load.
I have the "To" set up as a recordset loop.
I created a blank php file for my email body and I have it selected.
It sends the mail as expected to each email address in the database.
But, How do I add variables to the body of the email?
I need to add variable fields for each recipient to the email body.
Thanks for a link or point in the right direction!

I found the answer to my question here;

showthread.php?t=17869

<?php
global $RecipArray;
global $RecipIndex;
?>

<?php echo($RecipArray[$RecipIndex][0]["sub_first_name"]); ?>

Thanks
