Site Import 2.1.2 freezes

Since upgrading to Dreamweaver CS6 on a MacBook Pro running 10.8.2 Site Import will not work. I go through the settings, click 'finish' and nothing happens. I've left it for an hour and no files appear in the folder I've set up for the import and there appears to be no activity at all. When I try to go back to Dreamweaver I can't and it will not quit. I have to force quit. Used the programme a fair amount before without difficulty. I have deleted the library file recommended elsewhere but it made no difference. On one occasion I got a Flash error message about a file trying to contact a site and to change settings to allow. I tried telling it to trust the site but it didn't help, and I have tried on sites previously downloaded and nothing happens so presume it is not any one site. I have not had any other error messages.

Site Import 2 is not compatible with Dreamweaver CS6.

It was replaced by Site Import 3 about 2 years ago, an since has been replaced by Design Extender.

Site Import 2 will not work in DW CS6, you will need to continue using the previous version of Dreamweaver, or upgrade to Design Extender in order to use Site Import in DW CS6.
