DA File Manager

Thread began 1/30/2013 7:13 am by SPT | Last modified 11/12/2013 12:34 pm by pistartech366237 | 3973 views | 17 replies |

DA File Manager

1st
(see attached "Error" pic)
Not sure which extension's help/tut section to figure this message out.

- Does it mean I need file permissions set to:
777 on the folder I want to upload to?
I have specified a folder "SPT-Clients" for files to upload to.

2nd
(see attached "Directory" pic)
I specified to use File Manager for one of the fields.
- Is this related to the 1st question or can I just leave tick in disable HTML uploads ?
- Will the file manager now use "SPT-Clients" as the upload folder?
- Does Hide Directories mean it will only show "SPT-Clients" and no other?

Want to express my appreciation for how this extension's UI has evolved and the support of WA !

make sure you have Data Bridge 1.1.3 installed, if you have a previous version installed, make sure to uninstall it from the extension manager before installing the newer one.

yes, the HTML Editor settings will be used for the File manager.

Thanks - Yeah I have 1.1.3 (I will uninstall and delete cache if needed)

So I built the pages - Search, Results, Detail, Insert, and Update.
re uploaded all WA files (including css, images, js)

The problem I run into (besides that message in the original post) is when I open the "File Manager" on the DA "Insert" and "Update" pages next to picture form field -
(Update-Page pic)

I can see my images and select one but when I press "OK" to insert it nothing happens (no refresh or anything).
(see attached FileManager pic)
Cancel works to close the window.

Attached are my Server Settings. (Settings pic)

Do I need a / slash in the "HTML Editor" and "File Upload Settings" also?

The message means that a file manager or HTML Editor instance have already beed created for the site.

The File manager location is only set once for the site, and you cant change it through the Data Assist wizard. to change the upload folder, you need to use the WebAssist -> Forms -> HTML Editor -> Site Settings access point.

for the problem with the file manager:
I have created a support ticket so we can look into this issue further.

I did not know that was where to access it.

Should I rebuild those pages (Insert and Update) and not adjust anything in the Server Setting tab of DA?

I can not access any changes now via - WebAssist -> Forms -> HTML Editor -> Site Settings.
I get the same message as Error pic.
(as you probably already know)

I will wait for your Ticket Response.

Thanks!

try creating a new blank page at the root of your site, then accessing the site settings. Does it still give the same error?

Hi Jason,

The file you sent worked great to get the File Manager working.

I do still get the same message as the "Error pic" every time I use DA on this project, but it still works fine.

I did create a blank page and tried WebAssist -> Forms -> HTML Editor -> Site Settings
just to test but it gives the same error message and closes the window.

As far as this project I am all sorted out and work is moving forward. :)

Just wanted to give feedback for any help it might be in future development.

I'm not able to reproduce the problem. I'll keep looking into it though to see if i can find steps to recreate it.

If it happens again on another sight, let us know.

Hi,

I am working on another site and have all of the exact same problems as outlined on my previous post. Since I can not access my old tickets I can not get the file that helped last time.
Can I get the file again?

here is the updated copy of the webassist/kfm/filebrowse.js file that should correct the problem.
