Server validation and spry validation circumvented

Hi I have a kind of contact form (created in data bridge and form builder) on my site which does server and spry validation on the input fields e.g. email address. I tested the form and the validation works in IE and Firefox. Apparently the email needs a "@" and at least one "." in it! How come I receive an email with this validation circumvented?

what trigger does the server validation use? what trigger does Universal Email use?

Make sure that both behaviors are using the same trigger.

Spry validation is javascript based, so spry can be disabled by disabling javascript in the browser

Server validation cant be disabled, so you should rely on server validation more than spry.

but with server validation, make sure that both the email and server validation behaviors are using the same triggers.

Hi Jason
The trigger in Universal Email was set to "Button: weddingvideo_submit pressed" I changed this now to "any form post"
How can I find out/change the trigger of the server validation? the form was created in css form builder and the validation was set there!!

Hi Jason
I got it. The server validation created by form builder did not work. I had to create the server validation manually.. Now it works. I had to tweek the date picker format though, because I want to show the week day --dateFormat: 'DD, d MM, yy',-- and the spry validation does not like it
cheers
Mike
