EMS Based Layout Import Problem with XML file

I'm pretty sure I'm following the directions to a T, however when I try to import a 'xml' from the layout manager, I navigate to the file folder, choose a layout and then 'cabo sunset' (just as an example), find the styles.xml file, and click import.

Error message - The file you selected is not a valid Sculptor layout.

Do I need new glasses? Or is something wrong here?

TIA

Glenn

It looks like you're trying to import something that isn't a Sculptor layout. Where did you get this xml file from?

From the css sculptor downloads page, identified as source files -

Ems-based text layouts (401 Kb)
This zip file contains the standard preset layouts included with Eric Meyer's CSS Sculptor reconfigured to use ems-based measurements rather than pixel-based measurements for all text elements. To use these files, download and save locally. Extract the XML files for each layout type to a local folder. Then, open the CSS Sculptor Layout Manager (Insert > WebAssist > CSS Sculptor > Layout Manager) and select Import. Locate the XML file on your local system specific to the layout you wish to work with and click OK. The layout will be imported; if any layouts with the same name exists, the new layout will have the word 'Copy' appended.

Directions are as above (copied and pasted to here).

Thanks,

Glenn

You should be importing the xml files in the top level of the extracted folder. The ones with a folder that has a matching name, such as 1ColumnElasticCenteredEmsText.xml. Importing these layouts will import all the different styled layouts as well. You will be able to specify these styles in the wizard. Sorry for the confusion.

Okay..... Got it... Thanks very much Jimmy. The actual import name xml file is what needs to get in there, and not styles.xml. Appreciate the fast reply.

No problem. I'm glad it was a simple solution. If you have any more questions feel free to create new threads or ask in this one if its related.
