Close session on checkout

I'm using a simple ecart system integrated with the default databridge admin, orders and products pages as a backend order entry system rather than retail sale system.

When an order comes in via phone, email or over counter a order entry person uses the product search results to add items to the cart and goes through the checkout process where an email is generated and sent to the shipping department from which they fill and ship the order.

Everything works so far, the database is updated with the order which can be searched with the order pages and the email is sent correctly. However after the checkout button is pressed and you get the checkout success page the cart is not cleared. If you go back to the cart and clear it, it removes the record from the database.

Not sure if this has to do with sessions or I missed a step somewhere.

add the following code to the success page after the </html> tag:

php:
<?php

// Initialize the session.
// If you are using session_name("something"), don't forget it now!
@session_start();

// Unset all of the session variables.
$_SESSION = array();

// If it's desired to kill the session, also delete the session cookie.
// Note: This will destroy the session, and not just the session data!
if (ini_get("session.use_cookies")) {

$params session_get_cookie_params();
    @
setcookie(session_name(), ''time() - 42000,

$params["path"], $params["domain"],

$params["secure"], $params["httponly"]
    );
}

// Finally, destroy the session.
@session_destroy();
@
session_regenerate_id();
?>

Awesome!

Was that code located in a document or tutorial that I missed?

Thanks Jason!

no it is code that needs to be added manually.
