Checkout Wizard doesn´t accept connection

I´m building a site with eCart 5 and have successfully added the cart page and the "add to cart" functionality. When I try to add the checkout page, I have the following problem on the wizard page "Step 1 of 3: Store order summary in database":

I press "Define" to select a connection, then click the connection, then "Edit", then "Test". I get the message "Connection was made successfully", so the connection should work.

When I press "Done", the wizard display "The selected database connection already contains the tables needed to complete this step. These tables will be used.. etc". under the "Connection" list box which shows the connection name. So that looks ok for me too.

But when I press "Next", I get the error message "Please select a valid connection to continue". I thought I just did that? The connection used is the only one in the project and is also the same one that is used to list the items on the page that adds them to the cart (which works fine).

So I´m stuck here. What can cause the Checkout Wizard to refuse a connection?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm not sure what would cause this. I'll open a support ticket so that we can schedule a call with one of our engineers to help you debug this.
