Multiple row update question

Multiple row update question

I have a member registration form which allows multiple email addresses to be associated with an account.

I have a repeat selection loop on the data insert form with 3 iterations so that up to 3 addresses can be added to a joined table using the multiple record insert behavior.

This works fine, but on the update form, i get only the the number of rows in the recordset returned, so, for example, if one address was entered for a member, only one row is returned.

i would also like to display 3 rows on the update table, so there is an opportunity to add additional email addresses.

Make sense ?

on the update page, set the repeat selections to use 3 instead of the recordset.

hi jason,

i tried that, but i get the first row in my recordset returned 3 times.

if this isn;t what is expected, i'll try again

use 3 for repeat selection, but then add a repeat region around it to loop through the recordset.

Thanks Jason.

I did try the nested loop, and appearance wise, got it looking ok, but then realised that, because my contact details are in a linked table, i need to use insert server behavior on any new data.

Went back to a repeat region and added an extra field for any additional data and applied insert behavior to this

Ok, glad to hear you have it working.
