Image Resizer rotating wrong orientation

Image Resizer rotating wrong orientation

Hi.

The image resizer works great on webbrowsers but when used with an iphone photo it is rotating images that are uploaded. This might have to do with the orientation info on an iphone photo?

I'm using this to display an image I upload with the iphone, and on the iphone it crops, but rotates the image to be not right side up.

Please help!
Thanks.

This is an issue with photos on the iphone itself.

I have run into this many time when emailing a photo from my iPhone then trying to open it on my desktop computer in Photo Shop or another image editor. this is a problem with the way the iphone stores the orientation info in the image itself, not something that can be corrected in Image Resizer.

EXIF Image rotation

Hey Jason.

I'd like to revisit this. It seems this happens on any photo that depends on EXIF information. I think I've found a fix ( image-resizing-with-php-exif-orientation-fix/ )

But how do I add the orientation fix from this resizer to the webassist file manipulation upload/resize file?

It looks like it needs to go into the file_manipulation/helperphp.php.

How could I include this so that it fixes the orientation of the images that I'm uploading?

Thanks.

the code from that page is not code that will "plug and play" directly into image resizer.

I have logged a bug so our engineers can take a look at the problem to try to fix it for an upcoming update in data bridge.

this is the image resizing control i am using. with the right setting, i can directly rotate imageto whatever orientation i want. from 0 to 360 degrees. maybe it can be compatible with the phone you are using. have a test.

Hi, Fdsfd.
As for me, I am using another
Image resizer offered by YG's Imaging SDK. It also allows users to rotate image as you want. I wonder what's the differences between them? Btw, I do love the manual toolkits which can be customized by users according to our own favors. It offers a much simpler and faster image processing way. Am I right?

Best regards,
Arron
