Is it possible to change my sub domain from cafeecommerce ?

Is it possible to change my sub domain from cafeecommerce ?

When I registered for cafe commerce, I used (for example) YYY.mycafecommerce.com because I had a domain registered with godaddy. It seemed more trouble than it was worth to transfer my domain so I just registered a new domain at Dreamhost www.ZZZ.COM.

I did not purchase the secure certificate from Cafe Commerce and I'm fine with it transferring to Cafe Commerce's subdomain when ppl check out but I would like it to show ZZZ.cafecommerce.com instead of YYY.cafecommerce.com.

Would it be possible to change my sub domain from Cafe Commerce ?

If not, do I need to resign up with Cafe Commerce and register ZZZ.cafecommerece.com ? and if I do, will I be able to export all my products and design, layout, etc ? My trial for YYY was not over yet but I jumped the gun and signed up early...will I be able to transfer the time I haven't used ?

Hope that all made sense ! Thanks !

You should be able to change the Cafe Commerce Domain, but you will need to Contact Dreamhost support in order to do this, they would need to change it on their servers.

Hi,

I have a question about this. Dreamhost doesn't seem to "get it." When I put cafecommerce on my account, I used a subdomain rather than putting the store in my index. So you guys went and switched it out for me. However, in order to get the custom domain back on my cafecommerce account, it's asking me if I want to buy an SSL certificate and it's also asking me which credit card I want to use. In checking my credit card statement, the cafecommerce and ssl certificate were not credited back to my account, so I don't want to repurchase either since I'm already paid. How can I get around this without recharging my credit card?

Thanks!

You will have to have Dreamhost refund the original purchase for the SSL certificate, then re submit a new purchase for your current domain.

Ok that explains things. The 2nd person to answer that email couldn't tell me that. I'll email them back.

Thanks!
