powerstore - Removing Theme options

powerstore - Removing Theme options

Hi,
1. I'm designing a powerstore site for my client. Once we are ready to go live, we will want to stick with the single design.
How do I remove the other designs shown in the Admin under "Select a theme for your store". I only want the design I created to show on that page (don't want to confuse them with other options)

2. I have my powerstore installed on my local computer host. I have a few other CSS changes to make and then I"ll be ready to push the site up to the live server for testing.
Does the "install" folder need to be deleted (I remember reading that but can't remember at which step I should delete it. Should I just omit it when FTP my files up to my live server?)

Thanks for your help!
Danielle

1) in the webassist/themes folder, delete the other folders for themes you dont wish to use, except for the default theme folder, that one needs to be kept.

2) Yes, the install folder should be deleted once the install is complete.

when you upload to the live server, you wont be running the install routine again, so should not include the install folder in the upload.

When you transfer to the live server, you'll need to use PHPMyAdmin to export the local database and then import it to the live MySQL Server.

then update the connection file top connect to the remote database and upload all files except the install folder.

avoid switching themes

Thanks for your message. very helpful.

Regarding leaving the Default theme.
Is there a way to hide the Default them? I want to avoid the client changing the site theme (Trying to avoid confusing them too)
Can I remove the "Design" tab from the Admin area? Or is there a different way to hide the Default theme?
Or Can I assign them permissions to only see certain tabs in the Admin area? (I could make it so the Design themes could not be accessed when they are logged in)

Thanks again for the help!
Danielle

You can open up the page:

/webassist/plugins/admin_menu/menu.php and add or remove menu options.
