Go to WebAssist -> Preferences in the Memento section Set the Show in dreamweaver option to Never.

In the RSS Section, check the option to disable all RSS Feeds and Check For Updates only when Memento opens.

Then go to Window -> Work Space layout -> Reset '<your layout name>'

and Delete the Dreamweaver Cache file from the users configuration folder:
common_installation_issues.php

I too am now receiving this error. All was well until I uninstalled and reinstalled Data Bridge and Design Extender to the latest upgrades, then the problem started. I went through your procedure, twice using and resetting different work spaces. Still no go. What further can I do?

What is your version of Dreamweaver?

What extensions are installed, including the version numbers?

what is your OS?

I have resolved the problem. I am using CS6 on Windows 7. Besides Design Extender and Data Bridge I have e Cart 5.0.7. I also had installed Web Standards Advisor 1.0.2, Palette Picker 1.05, PayPal eCommerce tool Kit 4.5.4 SiteScribe 1.0.2 and Surveyor 1.0.8. I think Surveyor may have been the problem. I started removing everything till the start up problem disappeared. That was with surveyor. I have reinstalled eCart, DE and DB and all is well again. thanks

the only extensions that we offer that are compatible with DW CS6 are:
eCart 5
Free Tools
Design Extender
Data Bridge

the other stand alone extensions have been discontinued and are not compatible with DW CS6
